Texas Brine’s first liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage cavern was placed into service in 1953. Since then, dozens of additional caverns have been put into a variety of product storage services. Texas Brine and its related entities create over 15 million barrels of cavity space a year with brine production activities. With our brine production rates, we have the capability to meet your storage needs with existing or future caverns.
We have over 59 billion cubic feet of working natural gas capacity; 29 million barrels of hydrocarbon liquids capacity, including Y-grade, ethylene, propylene, and butane; and 7 million barrels of crude capacity leased to our customers.
The operation of storage caverns requires strict oversight and management. United Brine Services Company, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Texas Brine, provides technical, construction and field support to Texas Brine and its customers.
